Program: Calling all Newcomers – Free two hour trial to try out cross country skiing or snowshoeing.
- Cross Country Skiing -- 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Newcomers to skiing can come for a group lesson and then hit the trails for their remaining two hour time slot.
- Snowshoeing – 10 a.m. to Noon or 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Newcomers to snowshoeing can come for a quick introduction and then head out on the trails for a two hour hike in the woods.
Don’t miss out - Sign up with us by phone or email – as participation is limited due to the amount of ski or snowshoe rentals that are available.

Program: Smugglers’ Notch Resort’s Nordic Center hosts an afternoon celebration of snowshoeing and cross country skiing free for those new to both sports. The Center will provide free equipment rentals and offer short instructional sessions from noon until 4:00 pm for first time cross country skiers and snowshoers. The Resort’s trail network features 34 kilometers of beautiful cross-country ski trails and 24 kilometers of dedicated snowshoe trails for every level from beginner to expert. Visitors are always welcome throughout the Winter season to warm themselves by the wood stove and talk with the Center’s knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff.
