Program: The demos are open to all ages. Learn to enjoy the winter and how the activity of snowshoeing can open up the doors to more outdoor adventures. Snowshoeing is a fun activity for the family and friends of all ages.
Instructors and Guides will be present to assist you with putting on your snowshoes, the use of poles and walking on the snow. We will have available for sale hot drinks to include hot chocolate and the introduction to Russian Tea.

Enjoy a winter day outdoors in the Hudson Highlands of New York! As part of the Taconic Outdoor Education Center (TOEC) 2009 Winterfest event, Tubb Snowshoes will be available courtesy of our friends at Hudson Valley Outfitters in Cold Spring, NY. On a first come and serve basis, participants will have a chance to use a pair for a short period of time. Other fun activities include inner tubing, ice skating, crafts and a live animal presentation. A warming wood- burning fireplace, food and beverages will be available our Highland Lodge. TOEC is located in the 20,000-acre Clarence Fahnestock Memorial State Park and is a convenient one-hour drive from New York City, Poughkeepsie NY, Middletown NY and Danbury CT.
