Snowshoeing Colorado is the authoritative trails and resources guide for the state's legion of snowshoers. It lists more than 180 statewide trails suitable for recreational snowshoeing, as well as information on Winter Trails Day and other snowshoeing events, guided snowshoe walks, races and more. Directions: From Interstate 70, take the Evergreen Parkway exit to Highway 103 or take the Mt. Evans exit at Idaho Springs, for Route 103 and continue on for 14 miles.

Program: Free snowshoes rentals will be available to those who would like to snowshoe on January 10, 2009, as part of the January, 2009, "Learn a Snow Sport" month. We offer shoes from Redfeather and the rental also includes poles. Reservations are required due to the limited number of shoes we have to offer and please remember to bring a credit card with you for the security deposit. Please, e-mail Beth with your reservation or questions. Free coffee will also be available when you come to pick-up your shoes on the 10th. We will also be offering 10% off ski, snowboard and shoe rentals for the entire month of January 2009 for renters who bring in their Winter Trails registration form. Here's to learning a snow sport!

Program: Keystone Nordic is offering free afternoon snowshoe Eco Tour (Tour & Rentals). The details are:
- Starting 1 pm FREE ECO TOUR (please SIGN UP ahead). Back 3:15 PM.
- Leaving on the bus at 1 pm – please, come 15 minutes early to get the snowshoes.
- Great way to get to be introduced to an ageless sport!!
Participants must be PRE registered for this tour -- limited seating on bus. Please, call us 970 496 4275 daily till 4 PM!

Program: Factory representatives from Mountain Safety Research (MSR) and Crescent Moon snowshoes will be on hand, as will The Trailhead and Trailhead Cycle & Ski’s own experts. Fischer Nordic skis will also be available for demonstration. The event is free but the public is encouraged to phone or email ahead to reserve equipment. Participants are reminded to bring a credit card for security deposit purposes.
